Design LA
Overview
Design Los Angeles is a collaborative design organization dedicated to connecting and promoting Los Angeles’ design districts, showrooms, galleries, makers, and creative community. The organization serves as a year-round resource for the local, national, and international design community, highlighting the city’s influence across interior design, furniture, decorative arts, architecture, and contemporary art.
Design Los Angeles grew from a collective effort involving the La Cienega Design Quarter and leaders from prominent Los Angeles showrooms, galleries, and design businesses. Led by Director Rebecca Birdwell, the organization brings together established names and emerging voices while increasing visibility for the people, businesses, and neighborhoods that shape the city’s design culture.
Through editorial content, showroom initiatives, and events including Legends, Design Los Angeles celebrates the history and continued evolution of California design while strengthening Los Angeles’ role as a destination for art, design, and innovation.
Areas Served
Design Los Angeles serves the greater Los Angeles design community, with a strong presence in West Hollywood and the historic La Cienega Design Quarter, home to many of the city’s leading interior design showrooms, galleries, and decorative arts resources.
Its network extends across Santa Monica, Culver City, Beverly Hills, Melrose, and other design destinations throughout Los Angeles and Southern California. Through year-round programming and digital resources, Design LA also connects these local businesses and creative communities with a national and international audience of designers, architects, collectors, buyers, editors, and other industry professionals.
